Dr. Ebere Nzeworji, Special Assistant to the Imo State Governor Rochas Okorocha on Electronic Media, has revealed the cost of each of the statues of some African leaders erected in the state capital, Owerri while reacting to reports that
The Governor’s aide spoke in an interview with Peoples’ Voice at Darlying FM in Owerri.
The official said,
“it was not true that millions were spent on erecting statue.”
He, however, disclosed that government had taken delivery of new equipment for its Specialist Hospital and that 21 doctors were currently in the facility to deliver health care service to residents. According to him, out of the 27 hospitals built, five had been handed over to the military as specialist health institutions.
Nzeworji added that the state government had also instituted ‘Imo Rural Roads Mobilization Project’ to handle 27 roads in the 27 local councils by December.
